1st Day of School

August 20th : First official day of school for Blake and Lindsey.
Kindergarten Orientation for Caleb.

I must say that it is weird having just Ruth and I at home even for 2 1/2 hours. But on the other hand it is nice to just have one kid with me when I need to run errands. I Think Ruth likes having the extra attention as well.
I can't believe Lindsey is already 8!!! It seems like just yesterday that she was just a baby. I hate that they grow up so fast. It really makes you cherish life and enjoy those precious moments -Huh!!!

This is Caleb's first official day of school. Isn't he cute?! He did Great!! He is loving school and had made some friends already - Jerak, Avery and Tristan. Just this morning Lindsey was helping Caleb put his shoes on and he was telling her that he had a crush on a girl in his class, Isabell!!

And Blake!! What do I say about him. I was going through one of my draws in the office looking for something and stumbled on some pictrues. Blake was only 2 and Lindsey was 3 1/2 and Caleb was 8 or 9 months old. Oohhh how they grow up soo fast.
I can't believe I have 3 kids in school!! WoW!! Are they all really that old already? Lindsey started 3rd grade - Blake is in 1st grade and Caleb is in Kindergarten!!! How cute are they?!! August 2008

'RACE FOR THE CURE'

You probably know about my Mom. Well, my family and I did the 'Race for the Cure' in Boise, all 7 of us plus my Dad including Lindsey and 3 of my brother Dirk's kid's and my brother Chad's kid's. The day started at 6:00am. I got up and dressed and then we woke up the kids at 6:45 and were out of the house by 7:15. We all met at a hotel my sister Molly was staying at in Boise. My Aunt Carolyn, Her daughters Annie and Heidi and Heidi's daughter Chandler, and her daughter-in-law Melissa, and my cousin Lacy all did the race with us. I did not know that this race was such a big deal. Last year there were around 9,000 and this year they turned out between 14 - 15,000!!! That's right - I did not make a typo - 15,000 people - WOW!!! (Next year they may have to find a new location.) We got to the race headquarters a little early to view all the different venues. They gave out a ton of free stuff. Everything from pens and notebooks to key chains and scarves to food. That was GREAT fun. Then the race started at 9:15 - 9:00 for the people who wanted to run. The race was kind of slow - only because of the amount of people. It took us about an hour maybe a little longer. It was nice though because it gave us a chance to chat and enjoy the race! No one was really in a hurry. After the race we went to lunch and chatted some more. It was a great day!! I think we will do it again next year. What a great cause-don't ya think?

Official Bloggers!!

Alright - where to start!! Some of you (or maybe most of you) have seen Caleb's two [missing] front teeth!! Well he had just learned to ride a two wheeler right before his 5th Birthday. Lance I and I were getting ready for a date and the kids were outside helping him. It was kind of windy that day and he was still really new at it. He was going down the drive way and well......You guessed it!! He came in the house and his whole front side was covered in dirt and gravel. He skinned his knee and chin and he ate some of it too. He chipped one of his teeth pretty good. We took him to the dentist and they ended up pulling both of them. I guess the other one was knocked loose as well. As he was sitting there in the chair waiting for the dentist to come in he looked at me and said "Mom, I wish I hadn't fallen off my bike!!" Just the other day he said to me "Mom, I wish I had my front teeth back" I feel bad for the poor kid. But you have to admit he does look pretty cute with out them.

A FACE ONLY A MOTHER COULD LOVE!!

This is a picture of his birthday cake!! He was so proud of it.

We took the kids swimming on Caleb's birthday out to the Calwell rec center. That is a really cool place. I haven't ever been there but they have fountains and a slide and a lazy river. So cool!! Here are a few pictures of the the whole day (I know you are all dying to see them)!! They also had climbing wall. Blake thought he had died and gone to heaven. I don't know what it is about boys and Climbing - but ever since Blake was a baby he has climed on everything from counter tops to slides to trees to fences!! Wow - He is definatley all boy!!
